Triangle Dance Festival for AIDS -- Co-Founded with Dr. Chuck Davis (2006, 2008 Exec. Dir. of Board, CAB Director 2009-12):
Region's best professional arts companies + community performers (international + local dance, spoken word, drum lines)
Gathering diverse audiences (200-800 yearly) for commissioned artworks on topics in "what's working in the global + local fight against HIV" in order to "create dialogue where it wouldn't be otherwise, and action where it needs to be now."
Health gala + volunteer/organizing fair with region's health, cultural, spiritual leaders following.
Raising funds annually for direct-service AIDS organizations in rural and urban NC and internationally (South and Southeast Asia, Eastern and Southern Africa, Central and South America, and others).
UNC Center for AIDS Research (2009-2010) -- Liaison for Health, Faith, Arts Initiatives, including director/producer, script writer for "What is a CFAR?" film for NIH, and director of Voicing Wisdom Legislative and Community Action Project
