Bio - Arts Leadership

Marie A. Garlock, PhD, is happiest when performing and facilitating in story/theater, dance/movement, and community building. Professionally, Marie designs health communication and participatory research initiatives that center the stories and priorities of persons facing illness and inequity. Her awarded teaching is enlivened through InterPlay, which sparks her own and others’ souls right up in hospitals, classrooms, and multi-racial justice organizing. Marie hopes to connect all people to their own physical and social assets, spiritual capacities, and creative visions for a more just, well world.
